Never Ever use Harcourts/rentals.com!!! I have never had to pay for damages or repairs in 16 years of renting several properties. However, in Pietermaritzburg tenants are *********ed into paying maintenance on behalf of landlords. Professional service is non existent here it seems. I did not receive my exit report until 3 weeks after the inspection was done, and that only after I had to request it. By then, new tenants had taken occupation of the property. It's been nearly 3 months and we are yet to settle a minor dispute before my deposit might be returned. No correspondence, no manager . . . . no light at the end of this dark Harcourts tunnel. Never again Harcourts.
