Never ever again… Harcourts Prestige Muizenberg

As first time home owners, we were left shocked, traumatised, saddened, disgusted because what should have been a joyous occasion was anything but. We bought a 2 bedroom house, they represented the seller… the day after the house was registered the estate agent called to inform us that the previous owners had no place to go as they were waiting for their new home. There were no occupational rent agreement from us or seller in place. I offered them storage in the garage while they wait for their new home to be registered , but asked that they advise their client that we were coming to take measurements & do some work on the house as we knew that this house needed lots of TLC. Upon arrival the front of the house was decorated with beer bottles, broken furniture, ******* & rubble. They hadn’t packed up a single item @ this stage, their excuse being they had no boxes or black bags. I mailed the estate agent to inform him about the situation & asked him to ask his client to pack their stuff & store it in the garage. He whatsapped his client our request, wished us luck & asked that we inform him when we take possession of the house. A week later, we were still trying to get the previous owner out, with no follow up from the estate agent, no hand over of keys, nothing… nothing “prestigious” about them, absolutely nothing.
