Inappropriate Behavior

I was dealing with a male agent at Harcourts rhino who initially seemed friendly and professional. We arranged a property viewing for Sunday, 7 December at 12:00. Unfortunately, I could not attend, so my partner and daughter went instead.

Upon arriving at the viewing, my daughter who is a young adult was made to feel extremely uncomfortable when she got out the car to greet the agent when he said “let’s hug instead”, despite her clearly saying no he leaned toward her and persisted to try hug her, she had to brush him off and distance herself before a handshake finally took place.

This behaviour is highly inappropriate, unprofessional, and unacceptable, particularly from an estate agent meeting female clients. We have never experienced such conduct from an agent before,male or female.

This incident raises serious concerns about how young women may be treated if attending viewings alone.

As a direct result of this experience, Harcourts Rhino has lost a pre-approved buyer, and now has a 1 star review. I expect this matter to be taken seriously and for appropriate action to be taken.
