Harcoutrs Agent for Muizenberg

After viewing a place to rent in Villa Al`dagrave Muizenberg, the agents seem friendly and pleasant and really keen on helping us to be the new tenants. After completing the application and submitting documentation things just went quiet. Had the main agent on whatsapp which initially responded to my enquiry/interest online. After 2 days of hearing nothing, i decide to send her a whatsapp (as she was the 1 i kind of built the relationship with) and this is my message to her:

morning ####. Everything just went quiet since my last message..we have no further correspondence and my husband sent the outstanding payslips. Please will be courteous and advise soonest. Just feels a bit dodge after we sent off all our personal docs that no1 gets back to us.

her response: I don’t appreciate your utterances if ‘dodge’ and ‘courteous’ We have treated you with nothing but courtesy, and I would not have been in business for 30 years if ‘dodge’ was how we conduct our business. Wrt your ‘personal’ information. We really have no interest other than to see if you meet the qualifying criteria.

My last reply to her: Wow, i wasn't being anything but concerned, but thank you for your prompt response. Keep well.

So i sit and ask myself..if you are so long in the industry in this day and age surely you know of hackers and ****s and all the weird things going on..its normal for ANY1 to be cautious and concerned, i mean i work in the financial industry and know of a client that LOST R1.2million about a month ago to hacker/s posing as a property agent, this stuff is real and i am aware of it hence my concern, but yeah thats the reply i got, no hello, no good morning in return, just blatant back bite. Surely do not want to pursue interest in this place not with Harcourts atleast, this 1 agent just *****ed the reputation for Harcourts to me personally. And looking at all the complaints on Hello Peter, they sure need to get on par with their competitors that has earned their reputable names and standards.
