HARCOURTS LOUIS TRICHARDT - Still waiting on deposit to be paid back - *******
Still waiting on the payment of the deposit on the rental we had with Harcourts Louis Trichardt. It's been seven days, final inspection has come and gone. Where is the deposit with interest as per your contractual obligations??
Once again terrible service and a complete lack of professionalism.
Only deal with these people if you like incompetence, pain and suffering. Terrible experience.

10 Aug 2023, 11:27Your agent keeps digging the hole deeper, what an awful experience, I think i will also looking at posting an article in the local newspaper there to make sure other people are properly warned about dealing with HARCOURTS Louis Trichardt. Any excuse to not pay or pay late, yet if my rental wasn't paid i'd get a black mark against my name and my credit score would be affected - yet HARCOURTS pays late or not the right amount and nothing happens.

10 Aug 2023, 12:59Hi Brendan, this is Esme from Head Office. I have tried twice this morning to call you, without success. I have investigated the matter with the office, and find no legal, nor ********* practices in the manner in which they are dealing with your deposit refund. Yes, the law does state that the deposit should be paid back within 7 days, only if no repairs are required. You were notified on outgoing inspection, with a witness present, that you had painted one of the walls in a different colour, and the owner has requested from the office that the wall be returned to thee original paint. Options were afforded to yourself i.e. that you could purchase the paint, and subsequently to that they have managed to keep the cost down by offering to only paint 1 coat. This was not accepted by yourself. The damp that you mentioned is not on the same wall that you had painted. The agent has most certainly conducted herself in a professional manner, and her communications with you throughout your tenancy has been kept up to date. The undue threat of taking this matter to the newspapers with no factual proof, and insinuating that this Office's conduct has been *********, has now resulted in the Office taking this matter to the Rental Housing Tribunal. Head Office will no longer be able to render further facilitation in this matter as it is now a legal matter.
