Absolutely poor service and ********** activities.

<p>I've recently rented with Harcourts in Port Elizabeth, my lease thus expired and I was slapped with one huge water bill due the owner refusing to fix a broken toilet which I reported 50 days prior to my lease expiring. After querying the bill once received, they did not even bother to respond to my query, 30 days later I receive an sms indicating that my account is due in which case I sent another email indicating that this lack of response is gross negligance and only then did Dave Summerton respond, indicating that he will investigate. He then responded indicating that I have been over charged on rates for the entire lease period and then the bill dropped by approximitely R100 and that the owner agreed to pay R150 rand towards the bill for the leak which was not fixed, I then queried how they came to that amount the owner agreed to pay and that I want real municipal bills and readings for the entire lease period with no response. The fact that I have only received bills for rates under Harcourts headings makes me question all those invoices and upon requesting municipal bills which I have not received I was told to take the matter up with saguarantee and that Harcourts will have no further involvement in the matter with me directly. I will be seeking legal advise and will not give them a cent due to their fruadulant activities and absolute lack of service. I will advise anyone who is seeking to buy or rent to refrain from using their services as they can not be trusted. I have written a previous review on Harcourts due their lack of getting the owner to fix my front door, tiolet and several other issues, for which received a response from their MD with no feedback provided after that. These people will seem very nice and efficient before the contract is signed but afterwards the customer doesn't exist and the owners of the properties are protected and can do as they please. Please people, these types of agencies litterally ***** money from hardworking people and provide no service or piece of mind, we all must boycott them and make use of the private function when renting, buying or industrial property renting is up for debate but if one rents from these agencies for residentual purposes, they will bleed you dry with no concience whatsoever. I implore the community to stop making use of their sevices as that is what keeps them in power. Futhermore, I do not require a response from their top management as I am on a mission to create awareness of their questionable activities and absolutely terrible service. </p>
