Hammond Pole Attorneys of boksberg are a legal outfit who assists with debt recovery. However they are in the habit of bullying and threatening people. I fell into debt with their client who handed me over to them. Over the years it has been difficult especially with covid and loseing employment. How ever I tried best I could to keep up payments. I don't have a lot so I arranged a payment of R80 pm giving me a window to pay more if I can I'm struggling to support myself buy food etc like a lot of people but I still pay Sometimes it's a little late due to delays from the bank but it gets payed. Each month I pay more than the agreed amount Yet this week they send a threatening letter accusing me of defaulting and demanding I pay R33000 in 5 days which I no way do i have I'm trying to pay 6 debtors I'm not a home owner or anything I'm not in full time employment So I contacted them and asked them what default sent proof of every monthly payment since Jan 2023 to my accuser who hasn't had the decency to respond Cathy de waal is the head of the debt review at hammond and pole but allows this harrasment

Like many others I'm just an average Joe struggling to make a living yet these big law firms attack threatening and harrass us when we are a few days late. Ontop of that they have been takeing my money but have not sent one statement, They are bullies and unjust

I have payed every month more than the agreed amount and I have proof .

I'm raising a complaint to the ombudsman aswell about their conduct
