Call themselves lawyers but can't even produce a statement

You don't expect much from Debt Collectors but I do expect proof of me paying my debt, response to emails and actual help when calling in. I have been paying a debt off for 4 Years and not once have a I received an actual statement with what is owed and what I have paid. Whenever I have called or emailed for one, they state they do not hand out statements and then further threaten me with court. I have now paid my account in full, according to what they say I owe but with no actual formal letter/ledger/statement saying what is outstanding. They are rude, dissmissive and not giving out statements for a company collecting debt is bizarre and leaves a lot to the imagination. Useless in my opinion.
