Atrocious Service:

Dear Reader: If you're considering purchasing a vehicle at Halfway Toyota Ottery please reconsider. We purchased a brand new vehicle in 2016 and took the car in for regular servicing as and when required. At about the 45000km service interval almost two years ago I mentioned to the Service Adviser that the car appears to be sluggish and non responsive under acceleration. Their feedback to me was that there is definitely a misfire emanating from the engine. They then attempted to resolve this issue by cleaning out a few parts. The car came back and not long after the same problem persisted now becoming more severe. The car then went back again stayed at the dealership for about two days and the feedback this time they could not find any faults. A few months ago with the same issue we took the car back again, this time it stayed at the dealership for three days and again the technician's assessment was that they could not find any issues. I went back the next morning to test drive the car with the technician in the passenger seat and sure as hell, the car misfired again which he then acknowledged. I left the car there for the day thinking that they would run the test/s again. Decided to collect it late afternoon as no one gave me any feedback. Immediately after starting the engine the car misfired. Ran back to the technician who now seemed very annoyed by me, who in turn told me there is nothing that he can do now as it is already too late. By now my blood pressure was reaching boiling point, decided that I had enough of the dealership and resorted to taking my issue up with Toyota SA. For a while I was fervently assisted by Norma and Maghlatsie (Ref: ********** 86) who in turn managed to at least get us a loan car this time (at my insistence) if we were to take the car back once again. This was one month ago 26/03/2019. The loan vehicle eventually only arrived on the 23/04/2019 with no fuel by the way. The very next day 24/04/2019 I received a call from a gentleman Winston very arrogant and full of it, saying that they now picked up the problem. The injectors are blocked and needs to be cleaned at a cost of R1700.00 (if my memory serves me right). "De moer in" I phoned Toyota SA again. Maghlatsi took my call, explained the situation. She said she would hand it over to Norma who would get back to me this was Wednesday 24/04/2019 up until this very moment I am still waiting for Norma to get back to me. My wife also spoke to them and the feedback was by 13:00 the next day she would give us feedback up until this hour no feedback whatsoever from Toyota SA. This problem on our vehicle has been prevalent for the past two years and suddenly now that we have your loan car immediately you are able to find the fault. Were you just shortsighted on the previous occasions when we had to make arrangements on our end to get to and from work without a vehicle, let alone collecting our kids. WE ARE APPALLED BY YOUR SERVICE OR LACK THEREOF AND WILL NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO USE YOUR OUTLET FOR ANY OF YOUR PRODUCTS OR SERVICE. I will not pay you R1700.00 to clean injectors when you could not asses my car effectively two years ago. You have inconvenienced us enough!! To the greater Toyota brand please also "lead the way"in after sales service.
