Unauthorized deduction from my bank account

I ran a "best value" paid ad with Gumtree on the 24th of August 2024 for R655. The ad was meant to run for a month. Fair enough, the money was deducted a few days later from my account on the 4th of September 2024 with no issues.

To my shock, another R655 was debited off my account on the 6th of September 2024. TWO DAYS LATER FROM WHEN THE FIRST TRANSACTION HAPPENED. No authorization was given and I have no idea who gave these guys the right to dip into my account and deduct money from it whenever they feel like it. Whose to say it won't happen again? *****ing from your customers instead of nurturing your relationships with them.

I made a terrible mistake trusting Gumtree. I've deleted my ad on your platform and want nothing else to do with you. Please stop helping yourself to people's bank accounts.

I still don't have an explanation as to why this happened as there's ZERO customer service. You write an email and pray by God's grace that they have the decency to reply back.
