Gumtree a highly targeted site by ********
Dont use Gumtree!! I was ****med out of R900. What Gumtree wont tell you upfront. As soon as you have placed a listing you are watched by ******** pretending to be interested in your listing. They will ask questions. Come back with more questions and appear interested. Then they claim to have purchased your goods with a **** link. The ******** have a well designed **** Gumtree site that looks like the real site. The so called support then talk you through verification. This is when money vanishes from your account. Please use Gumtree with extreme caution. Every potential buyer should be treated with extreme caution as well. Gumtree also does not care if you fall prey to ******** as you use the site at your own risk and the risk is very very high. Gumtree will also not take action against identified ********. Warnings are also not published upfront. Think carefully before puttung yourself out there to ********.

Gumtree not blocking sellers that **** buyers
Why is Gumtree South Africa not blocking sellers who are ****ming buyers? They can act on reported ****s by blocking the ads with red letters to identify the seller as a ****mer. It will make a seller think twice before ****ming a buyer. Why is the sellers still advertising?

Excellent Platform for Buying and Selling
I have had a great experience using Gumtree. The platform is easy to navigate, and listing items for sale is quick and straightforward. I've found it to be an effective way to connect with genuine buyers and sellers, making the entire process convenient and hassle-free. I also appreciate the range of categories available, which makes it easy to find exactly what you're looking for. Communication through the platform has been smooth, and I've successfully completed several transactions without any issues. Thank you to the Gumtree team for providing a reliable and user-friendly marketplace. Keep up the great work!

Removal of air rifle ad
I have advertised an air rifle for sale. But on certain occasions they allow it and other time they remove it. As soon as I use the word carbine it will get published but if I use the word air rifle it gets removed, there are others advertising the same product and there's don't get removed. To whom it may concern and those who read the ad's before making a decision,do your homework on the product before just removing it. An air rifle does not need a license in south Africa,it can be sold and bought at any store selling these products without a license. Very disappointed in the way Gumtree handles ad's and I would recommend anyone thinking of placing an ad on Gumtree to look for other options like junk mail etc.

Gumtree's improvements
I have personally been very impressed with the added features that Gumtree has incorporated over the past two years. The best feature being that you can now pay online, and have your item delivered to you. I have now been able to buy items in Cape Town and have it shipped to Durban.
