The seller doesnt want to refund me.
Last week a saw an advert of lounge suite on the site. I called Juvita who said that I should pay for it as many people have interest. I first paid R2500 dep & she said that I should pay the balance as she needs the money. I paid the further R6000 into her account. The extra R1 500 was for the deposit of the bed. Last week Saturday I went to her house. Only to find out the lounge suite that she is selling is the same lounge suite that I have in my house. So I told her that I am not interested in the lounge suite but I am willing to buy some of her other things. But Juvita insists that I take the lounge suite. I don't understand why must she force me to buy something that I don't want. yesterday on Monday I have send her the SMS advising her that on Thursday I will send the driver to fetch the ornaments and bed and I am not taking the lounge suite. She didn't respond as she is suppose to refund me the R550 money that I extra. Actually she is thinking that she is the only person that knows money. I am not interested in her transaction and need my R8 500 back. The money should be credited back into my account. Standard Bank, Account number ***. Thanks

Gumtree always advises for local face-to-face transactions where an inspection of goods takes place, and we advise that users avoid sending money up front for services or goods.

Unfortunately this will be a matter between you and the seller - I would advise that you write into our help desk with a link to the ad so that we can message the user - however I would also recommend that you remove this report or at least take out your banking details.
