payment for a free ad?
why does one suddenly have to pay for a add, when the website specifically says it is free? ridiculous

We have a cap on how many free ads can be posted in our Autos section. All users can have 2 free ads live in that section at a time.
I see that you have ads that you would like to post in the Auto section; unfortunately, you already have two ads live in that section, so your new ads will not go live at this point.
You have a couple of options as to how you can proceed.
First, you can delete your older ads in the Auto. This will then allow you to post new ads in that section.
Second, if you would like to have more than two ads at a time in the section you will still be able to post as many additional ads as you'd like on a pay-per-ad fee basis. If, however, you are selling a number of vehicles (approximately in excess of 15 per month) you also have access to a number of affordable ad packages using the Gumtree Auto Inventory Tool.
All you need to do to get started is visit www.gumtree.co.za/pages/autodealers.
