Oh well here we go again

Firstly. As Customers we should be given an opportunity to not even give a company a Star when we write down a review, because I mean this Gumtree platform used for Advertising is totally pathetic how it operates and functions. I used to use Gumtree 5 year's ago and it used to be effortless to post an advert and you'll get your responses instantly, Now it's just pathetic and frustrating to get a simple adverti*****t on their Website. This is the second time I've posted a paid advert on Gumtree and I must say, what a waste of my money. Late last year 2020 I posted an adverti*****t through Gumtree, I even ticked all the Boxes that will get my advert out there. Home page and Top of the category, etc. the advert went pending. I was advised to email the "support" Team which I have done "twice". They told me I should Change the category of where the advert was. I edited the advert and fixed that problem. After a few hours the advert disappeared from my Ads in my profile, not In my pending or Active Ads. Nothing. I reported this "twice" to make sure they acknowledge my frustrations but never had anything from the Gumtree "Support" Team. I looked into their refund policy and it seems like you will be donating money for everytime your advert disappears from them because they won't refund you back.

So yesterday I posted another advert. Knowing how frustrating this website can get and the monopolies behind paying for Adverts. Don't get me wrong I would consider free advertising but paid advertising just gets you better traction and attention for the purpose of your advert like reputable websites like Indeed and the rest. So here I am posting an adverti*****t on Gumtree. Paid that means. Carefully putting the advert in the right categories, using the right words and sentenced, following their "Policy" as stipulated. After all was done and it was posted. I received a receipt electronically in my email that Gumtree has deducted X amount and I should keep this as proof. As if they will refund you back for deleting your advert. So after a couple of hours "patiently" waiting I received another email that my advert was successful and should be visible "shortly" as in never they meant. So I logged back in my profile today to see any progress of my advert was visible, this time nothing again in my pending adverts and nothing again in my Active Ads. I honestly laughed this time because I am drained by this Website and their ****** Policy Protocols. I'm sure the people that introduced this policy update with Gumtree didn't think about their customers needs at heart because guy's this is really really down bottom for a reputable company like Gumtree South Africa. So hear I am again at the "Support" Team desk. Pathetic as always. So I sent an email regarding this problem and again I knew nothing will be done myself as a customer I knew I won't be fulfilled by their services. Received an automated message email from them with a "Please don't reply to this message" and then nothing again from the"Support Team"

I've given the time to read other people's experiences on HelloPeter to find out if I'm doing anything wrong myself but if there's 300+ complaints probably more than that number in reality and Gumtree hasn't to this date came up with a solution to solve this issue with their Advertising "Policy". I personally wouldn't consider using this platform or advice anyone to do aswell until this within Gumtree is resolved because this is totally unacceple. And please refund people/accounts that you delete their Ads! Because we haven't received any damn Services. It's even more frustrating when you see other similar Ads up and running to what you intended on posting but not have yours Active. Interesting enough for paid Adverts the transaction is facilitated through a division in the Netherlands explains why the refund policy is so poor aswell. This Website should allow users to post for free. Stop this paid advertising thing because in 2021 your "policies" it's like they're stuck in the year 2006 Really frustrating Platform
