Gumtree ********/con artists

Please be careful when advertising with Gumtree. The platform is a good platform but it is riddled with ********/CON ARTISTS. When a person shows interest in your product you selling and they ask you if they can do either an EFT or Cashsend, please ensure that you tell them you will not release the goods until you confirm either with your bank that the money is in the account or that you will need to receive the Cashsend money before the goods are released. These guys send what looks like legit proof of payments to you so you believe that the money is received. You then release the goods to the driver that they send only to find out later there is no money in account. PLEASE BE CAREFUL AND SHARE THIS
