Gumtree ********

This is a warning to the public to beware of ******** on Gumtree. I recently put my laptop online to be sold and within a day I had a response from a guy named Nick Muller (*******). He asked for the condition of the laptop and after I sent pictures he said he would like to purchase the laptop and was happy to even pay 500 extra so that I could courier the laptop with insurance. I received an SMS notification exactly like the one received from Nedbank saying the payment was made into my account. I called the number on the SMS which put me through to Nedbank, they said it would take up to three days for the funds to reflect into my account. He then sent me a pdf from Nedbank exactly like the original proof of payment. I was naive enough to belive that this was authentic and sent him the laptop as requested. It turned out to all be a **** and I have lost my laptop without receiving any payment. Please beware of these ********!!!
