Gumtree paid features wasting advertiser's money
Gumtree offers paid options to advertisers and I have always made use of this. I have sent them a mail regarding this complaint, but I feel other advertisers should take note.<br> <br> When your ad drops from page 1 to 19 within 3 days you can go on & see how someone flooded the site with an ad (and they are 100% identical, from images to text and content). I have flagged these before. <br> <br> Now my ads, paid for and bumped up and online for a while (5 in total) got deleted and I was informed not to post duplicate ads. Each ad used different images and focus on different aspects of my service. Clients search for this selectively and it made sense to have these separate ads. However, Gumtree decided it is duplicate ads. Paid for or not, they got deleted.<br> <br> I invite anyone to visit Gumtree, click on South Africa and search \psychic". At this very moment"
I'm sorry to hear that, as there are thousands of ads posted daily on Gumtree it is impossible for us to review every single ad and poster and we rely on our community to flag these ads through our 'report this ad' section so that our moderators can remove these duplicate ads.
In regards to your ads, as they are for the same service we ask that you only post one ad on the site. As users of Gumtree have the ability to view ads across the whole of Gumtree, if you are posting more than one ad for the same service, even if you are changing the photos and description, these will be displayed as duplicates for those set to large viewing areas. This can be very annoying for our users and they they will flag these ads as duplicates and our moderators will remove them.
Please continue to use the \Report Ad\" button to bring such ads to our moderation teams attention so that we are able to deal with them appropriately.
