Gumtree is full of ********** be careful.

On 19 May 2022 around 19:30 I posted my laptop as I was selling it for R 3500.00 immediately a guy called me and he told me he want to buy it and even beg me not to sell it to anyone, then I agreed, after that he then told me he is sending me money, then just few minutes I received an Sms from Absa Bank which was a notification and he also send me the proof of payment and also proof of his address and ID. Then he told me he is sending one of his employee to come and collect since he needs the laptop urgently for his wife who is a graphic designer and also she will be going to Cape Town the following day, he couldn't wait. So the guy came with a white VW polo sedan with Reg:HS77PWGP, then I ask the guy if he was working for him and he refused. Then the guy left with the laptop. So in short all the documents he sent me was ****, proof of payment, I'd and address. His voice sounds like a Nigerian and the driver is a venda, by the look of things, they're working together. When I contact Gumtree to report the incident via the email,they never responded.
