Gumtree giving ********s a platform to ****
I own quite an established business.
We are finding more and more that ********* are posing as our company and many others via gumtree.
Gumtree security policies are very weak. Therefore it is easy for a ******** to post and make it look like they are associated with a certain company.
Gumtree allows ********* the platform to **** unsuspecting users.
Gumtree should really do a better job verifying posts, and information in posts. Many people are ****med, and Gumtree gives these ********* the platform to **** people.

We do have safety advice, at various places on the site, including posted at the bottom of users replies to messages, explaining how to safely transact, including to not engage in sales that are not face to face, where you inspect the item on sale, and to not send money, without having viewed the item for sale, in person. Our helpdesk is also manned, to react to reports and negative feedback, as soon as possible.
