Awful service with Pay and Ship

I sold an item on Gumtree 17 September with the Pay & Ship service, buyer paid and collected item on 18 September. Status remains on Gumtree account as "Buyer must collect" until 23 September when status changed to buyer needs to confirm that he is satisfied within 24hrs when money will be released to my wallet, which in turn will take another 48hrs for funds to clear into my bank account. Why is the no option for buyer to click "satisfied" when they have received the item? I have to wait more than a week to get my money and the buyer is already using the item? And obviously Gumtree keeps the interests.
