Allowing theft of information
I listed a job placement ad on Gumtree Cape Town a week ago. The position was filled almost immediately. I now however receive almost 500 CV's per day in my inbox as Gumtree offers no form of security to your ad being placed and they allow 3rd party recruitment websites to hijack ads and place it on there websites. Theres no protection of information on the Gumtree site.

We don't allow 3rd parties to place our Ads on their site. it is likely that your Ad was scalped off of the site without any permission. If you could please contact our helpdesk via help.gumtree.co.za and share whatever information you have from the site that did this, we will be happy to advise you on how to contact them to report it to them, and ask them to remove the Ad? Hoping to hear from you soon!

The ad was active on your site for less than 24hours before being removed. Obviously in that period the ad was hijacked.
If I was you, I would definitely pull up my socks when it came to protecting people's information.
The ads were placed on Youth of Tsomo a job network group on Facebook and it even states.
Sourced from Gumtree.
The group admin is
Lolly Nontombana.
I asked her to remove it and it was just ignored.
It was also put on a Telegram group and also sourced from Gumtree.
