Ads being removed for no valid reason

Gumtree is removing our Ads removed without a proper reason and locking our account with no indication. I had to send an email only to be "assisted" by a lady called Chantel. She is not helpful as she is not providing us with a valid answer and she keeps contradicting herself on the email thread.

I am not happy with the service that we are receiving, as Chantel is stating that the reason why our ads are not being posted is because we don't have an active business domain - her definition of an active business domain is having a website. I tried to educate her in terms of the fact that a domain and a website are two totally different things but she insists that the policy meant to say that we need a website as well. My argument is the policy does not make mention of the website, so I don't know where she is getting her information, the policy only mentions that we need an active domain which we have and I have proved that to her, My main concern is there are many businesses that have posted ads and the ads are live but they don't even have an active domain as they use gmail email addresses and I have highlighted the ads to her but she is failing to tell me why they are not being removed and the accounts not being locked. We are just a small black owned business trying to advertise our services but we keep on coming across hurdles as people like Chantel are preventing our business from growing.

We've read through the policy pertaining to our line of business a couple of times and we cant see any violation of the rules. We do have an active landline number and an active business domain.

On one of the email Chantel stated that our business needed a website so that the users can look at our services from the ad, then she went on to say that the website wont even be part of the ad. She then apologized for her mistake, so I asked which statement is correct and she failed to reply to my email. It honestly feels like she is looking for any excuse to prevent us from using Gumtree.

We have successfully posted the same ad before and it went live, as we were assisted by an efficient staff member - Jason. But with Chantel, I have to nag her to reply to my emails and when she does its like she has no clue as to what is happening and she just contradicts herself and fails to provide valid facts.

This is really disappointing to see how Gumtree is discriminating against our business.

Hi Matumi. Thank you for understanding, that Financial Services Ads, have strict posting policies on Gumtree, including that your Ad needs to be posted from a business domain email address.  We do clearly state this, in our services policy, on the Gumtree website: https://help.gumtree.co.za/articles/en_US/KB_Article/What-are-the-Services-policies/? 'Ads offering financial services must use an active business domain with website and contain a valid business landline number.' This is universally app**** to all Ads, and all users. Should you wish to query this further, you are welcome to get in touch with us, via help.gumtree.co.za, we will be happy to answer any further questions.
