VERY UNHAPPY DATSUN GO OWNER
On the day of 28 August 2020 we went to Nissan Group 1 Kuilsrivier branch to by a vehicle. When we walked in there nobody wanted to assist us, but Jacques came and helped us after we asked him who we can asked for assistance. He informed us that his not working with local sales only company's that buys bulk vehicles but he will try and help we're he can.
I have asked him in connection of a Datsun GO because I used to drive one we're I was working at that moment and liked that vehicle. That is the reason for my choice for a Datsun GO. I have asked Jacques how does it work for the payment because I will pay CASH, he told me after he worked out the cost the amount will be R160 000 and as soon as that reflects in the account I will receive my vehicle. He never asked me to test drive the vehicle and I did not know if it would be possible for me to test drive, so I also did not ask.
We went to the bank and transferred the money and brought the proof to show him that I did pay the money. Later that day he phoned and told me that I can come fetch my vehicle. When we arrived at home I tried to hoot in front of the gate, no hooter. I took the vehicle back there and then which Jacques told me to come back on Monday because the workshop is already closed for the day.
I took it back on Monday (31 August 2020) were they just loosened the hooter *****s which they told me that the *****s are to tight, that is the reason for the hooter fault. The vehicle went back between September 2020 and 23 November 2020, but are not sure what the exact date is, because they did not give me any paperwork for that and told me that they do not close the jobcard yet, because they are still looking for the problem.
The 23november 2020 the vehicle went back for the same issue and then they changed the spiral cable in the steering wheel. They gave the vehicle back telling me that it is sorted, but still the hooter was not working.
I took it back the 4 January 2021, which they replaced the whole steering wheel from a donar vehicle, this time.
So the vehicle went back the 2 February 2021, for the same fault(hooter), were they now told me that the wheel alignment is out and that is the reason for the hooter this time. (at his moment I do not understand, because I spoke to my suster which have her own mechanical workshop and what she told me was that the wheel alignment could not be the problem, because that has to do with the suspension and not the hooter), but I took there advice and let the wheel alignment done. (so that has been done as well), but the hooter is still a issue. The vehicle went back the 18 February 2021 till the 24 February 2021 which now they added extra body earth, earth from steering colum to the body earth. They delivered the vehicle and we checked the hooter immediately and guess what it is not working, so my friend took it back (Ryno) and the mechanic Micheal told him that the vehicle is made of plastic parts and they can not find a proper earth (wiring) for the hooter.
Then they said the only thing that is left to do is to order a loom from the vehicle( without knowing what the mechanic said to my friend). When I got home after a long dat, I saw my vehicle is at home and from passing it I notice that the wheel caps were scratched and have scratches on the right hand front door and boonet, at the time I am very upset to say the least. When I started the vehicle I also saw that they drove half a tank petrol out. I phoned Nissan kuilsrivier and asked them about every thing they just denied it. They came to fetch the vehicle on the 16 March 2021 again for the loom issue and by the 22 ND March they phoned me to let me know that the loom was wrongly supp**** and they are going to order another one but will take 21 working days we are now by the 9 the of may and the part is still not here. In the meantime I have to pay extra money for transport and aftercare for my son, because I can not fetch him at school and need to be in time for the aftercare before they charge me penalties which I also struggle with because public transportation is not reliable at all. I spoke to so many people in connection with this issue: Jacques(sales man), Angelo, Kevin, Nigel(workshop), Michael (mechanic), Cindy ( receptionist), Lance(Manager), Nissan SA - Theresa, Patrick, Mia (onbudsman, Juanita and Busisi.
Now what I would like from nissan Sa is to step up and I request a brand new DATSUN GO, Because they fitted to many donor parts and stuff in my vehicle that it feels like a 2 ND hand vehicle.
