STAY AWAY FROM THESE *******.
I bought a Datsun Go from group one Nissan in April. I Went into the dealership and decided that i would like to get a silver or white car, I then basically got forced to take a platinum car by my Sales Person Caleb. Apparently i will be cheaper for insurance. It was my first new car and i was a bit ********. A few days later i was then told that i've been approved. however i would have to wait a week to get the Car delivered. I waited and waited and waited. I had to Uber to work everyday which became extremely expensive. Caleb then delivered the car 4 days later, Without any carpets. The Car also had smash and grab on already. A "Gift from caleb" also apparently He had to get the car valeted. After this Caleb made me drive around with an expired temp license for nearly 2 months before collecting my car and taking to get the plates done. When the car returned the entire car smelled like Vape smoke. That smell was in the car for months. On Top of it all i started suspecting that the car was not a new car either, i started looking around in the car, i found a hole in one of the carpets of the car, in checked the boot and i found a Flattened cctv camera box, with a price tag on dating 2016. I then also discovered and Auto armor warranty receipt for smash and grab dated 24/10/2016 with a registration number on. (Possibly the previous owner of the car) So i am now in the process of launching a ******** investigation into this matter. But when i called group one and tried to report this matter, They told me that a manager will call me back and up until today i am still waiting for a manager to call me. This was 3 weeks ago already. i also called Nissan and asked for a copy of my sales contract, They mailed me a copy that had a whole section blurred out. i'm not sure if that was done deliberately. Apparently that was the copy that was on the system and when i mailed the lady back she didn't reply, i had to call in and threaten to come to the dealership for them to send me a proper copy of my own sales contract. I've already got the Police involved in tracking down the previous reg number. This is by all means not where i'm stopping. I want this situation looked into and thoroughly investigated.
Good day,
We take serious issue with being called ******* without unsubstantiated facts.
The facts are as follows:
Mr Johnson signed the bank contract and took possession of his NEW Datsun on the 4th March 2017 and not in April as he alleges. Initially, the bank required a deposit which Johnson did not have. The salesman, Caleb, then offered him a Titanium Grey Datsun GO Lux AB, which had a factory rebate credit.
This credit was passed on to Mr Johnson in the form of a deposit. In February whilst this transaction was being finalised he was more than happy to take that colour because he would then be approved by the bank.
This particular vehicle was sold in January and had been registered. The client that initially bought the vehicle cancelled BEFORE taking delivery. This necessitated a status change at NATIS, all completely above board and legal. The vehicle is still BRAND NEW at time of delivery.
The fact that the Datsun had Smash and Grab app**** and that Mr Johnson got this for free is , oddly, not appreciated by him. In the process of waiting for NATIS to finalise the status change he was furnished with a valid temp license.
It is extremely difficult to comment on the smell in a car when the complaint only surfaces almost nine months after delivery. The same applies to a “hole” in a carpet and boxes found in the boot. My understanding is that his vehicle was broken into recently.
The bank contract was sent to him a second time and my F&I department apologises that it came through unclear at the first attempt. There was no ill intent in that at all.
Finally, the reason the Sales Manager never contacted Mr Johnson is because he spoke to a salesman, Chris, and started swearing and calling Caleb and his manager “******” and that he didn’t want to speak with him.
We welcome any investigation into Mr Johnson’s allegations and maintain that it is always distressing to us when customers are not satisfied. We strive to maintain an ethical and honest relationship with ALL our clients as can be verified by the many positive testimonials on our website.
