Edendale Mall

On Thursday 30.01.2020 I went to the Mall to drop off my sister and her son at the absa branch at around 7.45 am. I returned to the mall after 9.30 am to pick them up. On my second arrival I parked at the family parking bay. When we were ready to leave I noticed that my car has been clamped. There was a gentleman wearing an orange reflector and I asked him what do I do if my wheels have been clamped and he referred me to the centre management office and escorted me there. Upon arrival, he referred me to a gentleman who I spoke to about my wheels being clamped. I told him that I parked at the family bay because I was ther to pick up my sister and her son. he said because my nephew was not in the car when I had parked I was clamped and had to pay the fine. I left to go withdraw these funds as I needed to take my sister home and return to work. When I paid, I expressed my dissatisfaction to the gentleman that was at the office, and asked for contact details of the centre management to file my complaint. When I returned to work, I dialed the number at the back of the receipt that I had received after paying the fine ***), however, there was no answer. I then dialled *** which is on the Malls website and the phone was answered by a Phakamani. He said I was the 3rd person complaining about this incident and i told him I am the person who was clammped and its the 1st time i am speaking to anyone about my dissatisfaction since I left the centre. I explained what happened and he told me that the security has a different version of what happened, and my colleauge also told them a different version. I told him I do not know and have nothing to do with the other versions that he already knows of, however, I am telling him what happened. He then said they will view the footage and get back to me at around 2pm, he asked for my car registration and cellphone number of which i gave to gim over the phone. At 3pm he had not returned my call. I then called the *** number again, of which Phakamani answered the phone and said that they have not yet finished viewing the footage. He then said it looks like they can see something on the footage and asked me to confirm if I was driving a red polo. I told him its not a red polo , but a grey ford figo and he said ok, they are still viewing. I called again at 5pm and there was no answer. On Friday 31.01.2020 at around 3pm I called them again this time there was no answer. This is now well past 24 hours that Phakamani had said they will view the footage and get back to me. It is now 01.02.2020, 8.15 am i called and again there is no answer. Phakamani has made no attempts to call me and advice of the outcome of their video footage
