Shocking GWM Dealership
I drove my one of my work 2.8 turbo diesel GWM's to the agents in Pmb for routine service and change the clutch plate.. First they asked for a deposit so they could buy spares!!!...that should have warned me. After 3 days of waiting, I was informed they had ordered the wrong clutch....that sorted out they then informed they could not start the vehicle.....remembering we drove the vehicle in to them....and I was informed they had to change injectors....still didn't start. They then cut out my computer uni-chip for performance.....still didn't start. They then opened up all the wiring and called an auto electrician.....still didn't start. Removed the gearbox and flywheel 3 times....still didn't start. ..and so on and so for over 3 weeks!!!! Eventually the manager called me and requested I tow the vehicle to another mechanic....but they first removed all the new items they fitted & still kept my R 4000-00 deposit. I had also paid R 12000-00 for a bakkie hire in the meantime. When I phoned the big boss of the GWM branch, I was told it was mosque time and they don't take complaints on Fridays!!! 2 months later & my vehicle is still sitting.....no one will touch it as when they removed all the new components and put the old ones back ....nothing was tightened, parts were missing, items were falling off etc etc..................All on a vehicle that was working 100% until the agents touched it. To date no one has returned my calls. Mention was made from the same dealer to a friend of mine that their mechanics are not trained on diesels and they had just tried their luck....... Even the so called GWM head office informed me it is a branch issue and I must take it up with the branch!!!!! so much for GWM service in South Africa...worst part is I HAVE 3 GWM VEHICLES... Lawyers are now getting urgently involved.
