Repairs - 7weeks still waiting

<p>I have a Steed VGT double cab. Car would suddenly loose power, could hardly drive 5KM. Please note dates! Took it to GWM Edenvale on 04/07/16.<br />The car had recently done major service (80000KM). Was told repairs may cost around R10K. After a week I was given a qoute for R36K (blown head gasket etc) and a page list of parts.<br />There was a delay for about 5days with insurance company who obviously were disputing qoute, insurance finally agreed to settle part of the bill. I was told parts would take 3days and actual repair work another 3days.<br />Inquiring when I could come and fetch the car I was told the parts are on back order for 2weeks. On the 29/07/16 I submitted a query on GWM website. I was auto rep**** that an agent would contact me soon. More than a week no one bothered to call me from GWM customer service department.<br />I then called GWM customer service (04/08/16). Eventually spoke to Leon who told that the parts wont take 2weeks (which was up by then) but they expect them on the 25th of August. What I am failing to understand is that do they (GWM) have such a high demand of these gaskets that need replacing (totally out numbering projects) or it's just a case of poor suply chain management or even preferential?</p> <p> </p>
