HAVAL H6C
Good morning Gentlemen At present I am writing this mail with a list of mixed emotions. As it is not every day that you purchase a new car, and this action comes a lot of excitement as well as certain expectations that I feel id art and parcel of the sale. When the vehicle was collected, we went through the vehicle and noted a few concerns, and we addressed it with the dealer at that stage. Since the delivery of the vehicle on the 5 th of April the Vehicle has gone back to the selling dealer three times and twice to the dealer in Hatfield. The problem is, that up until now the same issues are still persisting and the only solution that is offered by the dealers concerned, is bring the vehicle back and we will write a report and see what we can do. At no stage, can we obtain a straight answer with when this will be done and all issues can be resolved. This letter is written to place it on record of all the outstanding issues on the vehicle, and to obtain a clear and definitive way forward in order to resolve the issues: Additions to the vehicle: Tracking device – When the vehicle was purchased, we had a tracking device installed as a security feature. With receipt of the vehicle, the wires were hanging out from underneath the vehicle dashboard , presenting a risk that the drivers foot can get caught, thus causing an accident. – ISSUE RESOLVED Tow Bar – The vehicle was equipped with a tow bar – Also installed by the selling dealership – but according to the Hatfield dealer they tapped in for a power supply under the steering column – Which they said was the cause on the power steering failure. - ??? Smash and Grab – All the windows on the vehicle were covered with standard smash and grab. This had to be replaced due to the fact that the smash and grab had printed sections with bar codes on that negatively impacted the general display on the vehicle. The smash and grab needs to be addressed again due to the fact that the product developed bubbles after the last time that the vehicle was at the dealer ship – ISSUE NOT RESOLVED Interior of the vehicle: When the vehicle was collected, there were dark marks on the upholstery of the vehicle. This were supposed to be resolve when the scotch guard was app**** to the interior of the vehicle. To my total dismay – the marks were not removed during their claimed application of the Scotch Guard. When the vehicle was returned, the vehicle upholstery was damaged with the scrubbing action and I only had more dirty marks in the car. Presently there is big water marks round the area where they attempted to clean but now it just looks worse. The vehicle has now gone in 4 times and still this is not resolved. Below is pictures attached of the marks and the damage to the interior of the vehicle. – ISSUE NOT RESOLVED Mechanical Workings: Tire Pressure Monitoring System – The system kept on going off.. The sensor would be activated within 30 Km of driving and would not deactivate at any time. The vehicle – went back to the selling dealership and according to them the issue was addressed. When they returned the vehicle and I checked the vehicle the Tire Pressure Sensor was again activated, only with the response – They don’t know why it is doing it. The vehicle was sent to the Hatfield branch and their interim solution is deflate the tires to prevent the sensor from going off. Yes now the alarm is not going off, but in my humble opinion and the content of your owner’s manual this would have the following result: 1. I will have poor fuel consumption – Presently 14.8 L / 100 KM 2. It will influence the wear and tear on the tires 3. It would have a negative impact on the overall performance of the vehicle. Hatfield branch did escalate this to Haval SA and further feedback is the sensors needs to be replaced – Really, this is a vehicle that is less than 1 month old at that stage, and you already expect your vehicle to be faulty – What is going to happen to the vehicle in 6 months’ time of even 6 years if we have to start replacing sensors in the 1 st month. – ISSUE NOT RESOLVED Radio – The radio of the vehicle is constantly jumping between the different sources. I have also complained to the dealer that the radio reboots ( totally switches of and then again on) while driving. – ISSUE NOT RESOLVED Vehicle cutting out – During the first time that the vehicle was returned to the dealership the vehicle cut out twice. I was driving at a speed of approximately 120km/h and the whole console on the vehicle died. The next moment the lights on the console illuminated as the general display then the vehicle stalls. I press the clutch and down shifted on the gears on the vehicle and then released the clutch again, The vehicle then started as if being push started in second gear – only difference was that I was in 4th. This happened twice in that trip. After that incident It has happened twice again with me and once with my husband driving. – When this was again brought to the attention of the dealership – the response was, they can only monitor an issue on the vehicle if the problem happens while in their possession. – ISSUE NOT RESOLVED Chip on the windscreen – When the vehicle was collected from the dealership the vehicle had a chip on the windscreen - they undertook to have it repaired. When the vehicle was towed in to the Hatfield branch – I had to be informed by one of the service providers that the issue is still outstanding and that I have to pay to get this repaired. – ISSUE NOT RESOLVED. Power steering – While driving one morning, the vehicle was fine. The next moment the power steering of the vehicle failed in the execution of a turn in a robot. The vehicle had NO POWER STEERING, and driving was extremely difficult. I drove an additional 3 km to get to my office, from where I contacted my husband, the dealer and Haval SA. That was at about 8 in the morning. Hatfield arranged to have the vehicle collected, where the tow truck only rocked up between 10 and 11 that morning. This has since happened 2 after the initial incident. The last two incidents happened whilst my child was not in the vehicle, believe me you would have hear about this in a much more direct manner if my child was in the vehicle. – ISSUE NOT RESOLVED. Failure of the reverse camara – While reversing the park assist camera failed and displayed the failure on the console. Picture attached – ISSUE NOT RESOLVED. Other failure notifications – I have also had the following notifications from the vehicle. Invalid key / Key not inside the vehicle when I wanted to start the vehicle – ISSUE NOT RESOLVED. Brakes not dis engaging when the vehicle has been started – ISSUE NOT RESOLVED. Exterior of the vehicle Right back panel – When the vehicle was returned the first time, I showed the right back panel to the dealers consultant. The area that I showed the consultant was visibly more co**** than the rest of the vehicle. I brought that up as a point of concern and the response was – The vehicle was not properly de-waxed and that it would be resolved. The vehicle was re – washed, and again polished. When the vehicle was returned the spot was smooth. But once the vehicle was washed again, the problem was back – the polish obviously washed off. The vehicle went back again and again it was polished only to be back to square one, once the vehicle was washed. This issue was mentioned to the service manager at the Hatfield branch, and they had vehicle inspected by their trusted panel beater. The panel beater inspected the vehicle and revealed that there has been damage to the vehicle and that it had a repair job and a respray. – This vehicle was sold as new – NOT REPAIRED, TOUCHED UP, OR REFURBISHED – BUT NEW. Attached are the photos from the Hatfield dealers where the dealer informed me that the vehicle was resprayed. – ISSUE NOT RESOLVED. The sad part is, that this is not even the RIGHT BACK PANNEL that I asked them about. Below is the pictures of the section where the paintwork is uneven and the front door. – ISSUE NOT RESOLVED.
