GWM Terrible Service
I purchased my GWM P300 brand new from GWM Cape Gate in November 2025, and unfortunately my experience has been extremely disappointing.
Within a few weeks of ownership, I started experiencing ongoing issues with the infotainment system. The system disconnects, freezes, the radio cuts out while driving, and at times the screen goes blank. I reported the issue and have tried to get it resolved, but despite multiple attempts, the problem has still not been properly fixed.
I was told to use a cable, but even with a cable connected, the vehicle still appears to try and connect wirelessly and overrides the cable connection. I even tested an Android Auto USB adapter to prove that the issue was not my phone, and that worked without disconnecting, which makes me believe the issue is with the vehicle’s system or configuration.
The vehicle has now also developed another issue where it appears to think a trailer is connected when there is no trailer attached. The indicators flash rapidly, which suggests an electrical or trailer-mode fault. The vehicle has not been worked on by any third party; all work and inspections have been through GWM since new.
To make matters worse, when the vehicle had only around 100 km on the clock, it was damaged while in GWM’s care. The right-hand side fender was knocked and had to be repaired. This completely ruined the “new vehicle” experience for me very early on.
My biggest frustration is not only that the vehicle has issues, but that the issues have not been properly resolved after months of trying. I feel that the level of technical support, communication, and after-sales service has been unacceptable.
Based on my experience, I regret buying this vehicle and would not recommend GWM Cape Gate. I am leaving this review because I believe customers should know what my experience has been like after purchasing a brand-new vehicle.
