Buyers beware

<p>I have just returned from GWM Edenvale having been told that my GWM H5 (four years old, 55 000km on the clock and a full service record) has a blown cylinder head gasket and will cost nearly R10 000 to repair. Roman, customer service manager at GWM SA, was pretty unconcerned - obviously well versed in getting rid of unhappy GWM customers. I have a 22 year old Nissan Hardbody with 250 000km on the clock and have never had repair bills like this on it. I'm taking my complaint to the ombudsman and will happily speak to anyone in mainstream media willing to give me a hearing. Poor show, GWM SA.</p>
