WHAT A SLOW OR RATHER POOR SERVICE

I have been employed in the Public Service for some time, dealing with the payments of service providers. I made sure that they were paid in the earliest time as possible. I resigned in June, so as to further my studies, because the Department I was in was not paying for bursaries. It is unfortunate that, I have been told that the Pretoria Office had received my documents on the 7 July, from the Provincial Office. I have been calling them ever since, to try push them to prioritize my account, as I needed the money to pay for fees and register this semester. Besides having to waste ernomous amounts of money holding a call that wil be picked up at about 20 minutes, I will be told stories that it is still within 60 days, I should not panick. I do not want to use the example of the PFMA read in conjunction with the Treasury Regulations which stipulates that amunts owing should be paid within 30 days, when I was still an Official, I never relaxed and told Suppliers that. The average number of days was about 16 days at my Department.

I urge again the GEPF to please fast-track the payment of my pensions, as time is running out, and I do not even have a payslip to go to a Loan Shark
