Tedious GEPF

I resigned from my teaching profession in January 2020.

Irrespective of the virus outbreak GEPF sends me a mail stating that all back offices are still in process and that their "services to their clients are of highest priority" This is a farce!

I sent them an email of enquiry and their automated response stated that they will get back to me within 7 days. Its been over 2 weeks now! "Highest priority" you say... "All backoffice operations are still proceeding" I still havent received ANY RESPONSE from GEPF.

I submitted all my documents for resignation and the payout along WITH my partner's documents. He received an sms saying his application has been received... I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY FORM OF COMMUNICATION FROM THEM! We submitted our documents together.... How... how?? Its been 3 months now!!!

In the mean time, im jobless my debt is raking up and not to speak of all the other things happening!!

This is the type of client service South Africans are subjected to and then they wonder why so many people leave the profession (teaching) and LEAVE THE COUNTRY!

I am taking further steps! This is unacceptable and highly unprofessional! I read a lot of reviews complaining about the GEPF and there's just no response. Enough is enough!!
