Still no progress with divorce benefit claim
My previous complaint refers. No further progress was made on my claim. Documents last worked on on the 9th October. Can somebody please advise me what is causing the delay? I would also appreciste it if I can be supp**** with the details where official complaints against the GEPF can be submitted and it would receive attention. It seems the GEPF website does not give this detail. This delay does not only have an impact on me, but also on my children and the pension member.

The processing of the divorce application was finalized ,however the amount exceeds R1 million and has to go for safety web verification via Treasury. Once the safety web verification process is approved the Tax directive will be requested from SARS and then finally the 2nd level bank validation will be done.
Once all of the above-mentioned processes have been concluded then only can the payment be released on the next available payment run. This is an automated process that can take anything from 7 to 14 working days and at times might even take longer if problems are encountered on/with the information.
We will keep you updated on the status of the application.
