Slow Pension Claim Process

I resigned from the Dept of Health in Dec 2014. My claim however could not be processed at the time because I had another one that was already on the system from a previous employment period.<br> The claim was eventually submitted on the GEPF system in March 2015. It took 2 months for the documents to be eventually accepted, i.e. in May 2015, after going back and forth on my part. I was not receiving a single SMS from GPAA informing me of the status of the claim and any rejections. I had to check every 2 weeks in order to pick up if there were errors and communicate with the employer, and then check again with GEPF to see if the error had been rectified.<br> At the end of May I thought we had passed that stage as the documents were accepted eventually. It took another two months for the documents to eventually get to payment section.<br> I waited patiently all this time. After numerous trips to Bisho (regional office), Pretoria (head office) and a dozen phone calls to GEPF I though it was almost over until I was told the Payment section had picked up an error on one of the forms. It turns out HR got the salary notch wrong.<br> now I am told the document has to go through the entire process again!!
