Serious delays in pension payout

<p>My wife and I decided to end our marriage of 16 years in 2016 and were divorced in August of that year. We are both teachers and members of the GEPF. The decree of divorce, settlement agreement and all required documentation were sent to the GEPF via our HR department in September of 2016.</p> <p> </p> <p>It has now been 10 months since the claim was lodged and we have still not received our payouts. I have been calling the fund weekly since January of this year and keep getting the same response, "The claims are in process."</p> <p>The entire process is supposed to take 3 months. We have been waiting for 10. When will the fund pay us our dues?</p> <p> </p> <p>We are at our wits end as we both need to move on with our lives.</p> <p>DGD Johnson.
