Pension fund enquiry

I have appointed a lawyer to assist in applying for my ex husband's pension fund up to date no feedback from GEPF....I decided to take the matter in my own hands to contact the pension fund but each time there is a different thing...the lawyer gave them all the info persal numbers the works but no one can give me feedback. I know all of us are busy yet if they are short staffed or too swamped with work appoint more people and stop giving our president increase....I now owe my lawyer thousands for nothing....
