I retired March 2022...I started submiting documents two months prior to my final day at my place of employment, The paperwork was passed to and fro between my employer and the GEPF because the bank forms I was submitting did not have a date on their official stamp. The bank {African Bank } head office was contacted and they informed me that their official stamp does not have the date on all the branches. This information was passed on to my employer who resubmitted the forms and was again regected by the GEPF. I was however forced to reopen an account which I had and send their bank forms through which was finaly accepted by the GEPF on 24th June 2022. However from April 2022 to date I have not received any form of income from the GEPF or my ex-employer. Now I am sitting with policies that insurance companies are saying that will mbe closed including my life policy which I used as insurance to take out a bond. All I get from GEPF is we are sorry ......sorry does not pay my bills or put food on my table or pay my medical aid. I have heard of members passing away with been paid out and their family's are left wanting.
