Not helpful at all, they don't care

You would think trying to cancel a grant would be easy. It is way harder than registering for one. <br> <br> I am a guardian and I now have a job, I went in December and I was told o need to bring a child to withdraw, checked else where and I was told that won't be necessary I just need ID copy, 3 months bank statement. I went back again a week ago. I was asked for an ID and letter of appointment then it seemed all was fine. I waited 2.5 hours on the queue then to get to the front to met a very unhelpful consultant who basically seemed to be trying to catch me out and not help. Kept asking me for things which if I had, would ask for something else. Then eventually she said that I have to go back where you register and you need the mother of the child which I didn't need in the start. I live and work 300km from there. Just started can't just apply for leave. Then I asked for a form which then I can complete and courier and she told me, the forms don't leave the building. <br> <br> I would be responsible to pay back money I am thing to cancel but they are not helping. Even though I send the money to the carer every month
