LATE PAYOUT ON PENSION AND BAD ATTITUDE FROM GEPF
I resigned from the South African Police Service on the 01st December 2014. On 5th May 2015 GEPF confirmed that the process in place and pay out will be in 60 days from the 05th May 2015. Since then I have been in contact with GEPF on numerous occations to ensure that there are now hick ups and outstanding documents. GEPF confirmed all in order and my file is with the contributions and pay out department. Malebo from GEPF was very rude and abnoxious telling me that I should be patient and not be cheeky as she can prolong the process as the correspondence is in GEPF hands. I cannot conduce to the fact that a call centre employee can hold me hostage and put my life on hold as she pleases. I contacted GEPF the first week in July 2015 and was advised by the call centre agent that there is an outstanding contribution. Gepf confirmed receipt of the file back from SAPS on the 3rd August 2015 and I was told to wait another 60 working days. This is unacceptable as I have bills and rent to pay. I have run out of money and need money to pay my August rent. I suffer from major depression and this situation is not doing my health any good,
