Late Payment of Pension and Gratuity by GEPF
I retired on 30 June 2015 after 37 years with Government.

A full and COMPLETE retirement application together with ALL required attachments was submitted to GEPF in early March 2015 and confirmed by GEPF Call Centre on 30/7/2015. When I enquired at what stage the application was and when payments would be made, I was told to call in a week's time.

It is now more than 4 months since the complete application was submitted to GEPF. I need my pension to pay my bills and dept. Surely GEPF must feel obliged to process any application to payment within 27 days and give a reason why a file that contain ALL required information is not finalised. GEPF must communicate with clients that paid millions into GEPF's account professionally (NOT a Call Centre) and has not given any feedback in nearly 5 months.

Establishing an annuity at Coronation took less than 1 week and payouts paid the same day.
