Incompetence and inefficiency at GEPF

It’s almost a year since I’d submitted death benefit forms. According to GEPF payout should take place after 60 working days. All documents were correct and completed. GEPF confirmed this, yet we have not been paid what is due to us.

Every time you call there is an escalation. Today the call centre consultant told me that National Treasury has to approve my payout. What is happening at GEPF? Why are they not paying out?

I worry for the beneficiaries of the Fund members. GEPF is highly *********** and inefficient.
