GEPF pension number CP***1
Refer to an article by Edwin Tjiramba on the 19 of June 2024 regarding members claim benefits request GEPF members to claim. I'm writing to express my deep concern and frustration regarding the prolong delay in processing my late father’s spouses pension claim, which has caused significant distress for my 86-year-old mother who is depended on this pension for her survival. She was admitted in hospital due the stress.
My ****her passed away on the 16th of March 2024 and it is now the end of June with no substantial progress on the spouse’s pension claim. For the past 3-4 weeks, I have been repeatedly informed that GEPF is awaiting the retrieval of his file from the achieves. Given the advancements in technology, it is perplexing that the necessary data is not electronically stored and readily accessible and all supporting documents handed in at the GEPF office.
Despite numerous assurances that an urgent request has been sent to the storage facility to locate the file, there has been no tangible progress. This delay is causing undue hardship, and it is imperative that this matter be resolved promptly.
It is particularly dishearten to note that while GEPF has swiftly requested the completion of the claim form for pension paid in April, the attention to processing the claim itself has remarkably slow. The Master also delay the process to issue the executor letter to me for access to my father funds.
I kindly urge you to prioritize the retrieval and processing of my father’s file to expedite the pension claim for my mother. Her financial well-being is at stake, and further delays unacceptable.
***, *** ,*** *** original mailed 19 June, another mail 27 June, numerous calls with the same answer: awaiting my ****her file from achieves.
All proof of mails and calls are available.
