GEPF not paying funeral benefits

Both my parents passed in July this year. I’ve been struggling to reach the GEPF for 3 months now. I went to the GEPF office and submitted it myself on the 21 September with no response. My mother worked her whole live for the education department and this is how they repay her, with nothing. Raising the thought of the GEPF being bankrupt?
