Funeral claim benefit

My mother retired in 2013 and was earning a pension payout for her and my father who passed away in 1999. In January 2018 my mom passed away and I had to bury her out of my pocket because all her funeral policies lapsed. I then called gepf and was told to obtain certain forms fill them in and send them through to gepf as well as accompanying documemts. I did all of these and started faxing to their 012 number as instructed and was promised tjat the payout will be made in 72 hours. I ended up arranging my mothers burial by borrowing money which I haven't paid till today because I'm still waiting for GEPF's response. I've faxed to GEPF 4 times already, I did again today. It's really frustrating.
