File Stuck at Legal Section +- 6 Months

My customary law husband passed away while working for SANDF. The employer submitted exit documents to the GEPF/GPAA in August 2017. The file was then referred to the Legal Section in mid-January 2018 and it has been stuck in that section ever since. Apparently claims that are over 7 years old require a Memo from Legal Section instructing the payments section to finalize the claim. Unfortunately, there hasn't been a comment or update from the said section ever since.

We have spoken to several call centre agents, from the helpful Tumi Motiang to the apathetic and rude Thembekazi Citwa, and all of them promise to make an 'escalation' to the Legal Section but that that hasn't helped one bit.

I also registered my dissatisfaction on the GEPF's Twitter account and was referred to Matau Molapo and Thabiso Poo. They promised to forward my query to the 'relevant people' but needless to say, that did not yield the required results.

I was also given the section's email address ********** and told to send my inquiry directly to the section concerned. I duly did that on 31 May 2018 and sent a follow-up email on 04 June 2018 to no avail. NOT EVEN AN ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF MY MESSAGE.
