DISGUSTING SERVICE

<p>My late wife was employed by the South African Police Service and passed away on 3 September 2016. I am the beneficiary of her pension. It took the pension fund more than eight months to pay the lump sum and arrear monthly pension into my account. However, they had paid almost R100 000 less than the amount which I am entitled to. I made enquiries and even consulted my attorney, who made enquiries on my behalf. After having been sent from pillar to post, my attorneys received an e-mail dated 20 June 2017 confirming that they had miscalculated the benefits and that they would re-calculate it. It is now almost a month later and notwithstanding numerous e-mails by my attorneys on my behalf, they have not reverted to me nor have they paid the balance to me. I am at my wits end and do not know who to turn to. I have a toddler to care for and desperately need this issue to be resolved. Question is, what would have happened to the balance of the pension had I not questioned the amount paid to me? I want somebody to intervene and to revert to me please.</p>
