I am utterly perturb that as a public servant pension nr ***9.i am disabled and have a rare genetic connective tissue disease and became ill and got medically boarded I am suppose to get r275000 a once off payment that I must live with the rest of my life. I am renting a place and have two daughters to support. Apparently the GEPf is suppose to add a extra 5 yrs but it is nowhere to be seen. Because I am working less then 10 yrs I am being discrimated upon because I am ill and disable. Yet the government have labour laws as well laws for disable people that they are entitled to a monthly income. I went through the laws and I am entitled to sassa as well as uif for illness. The government pension fund discriminates upon their own public servants but there is so much laws. I will not be discriminated upon because I became sick and are disabled. I will report this matter to the human rights commisioner as well as the ccma. To every public servant of the government the pension fund don't care about their employees well being. They give you a measly once off payment to survive and if you don't work 10 yrs you will be discriminated upon. What happened to human rights and all the policies in place if the government pension fund don't care about their government employees. It is utterly unacceptable to be discrimated upon and the law states that disable and ill people deserve a monthly income and nothing is mention about working 10 yrs before you can get benefits. but our own government pension fund doesn't abide to the rules which is so sad and unacceptable
