Disabled child pensions application process should be the FULL reponsibilty of the GEPF.

Disabled persons aren't always capable of submitting applications themselves and need to rely on others when their parents pass away, which in turn creates other problems.

The GEPF seems to look for any and every excuse not to grant these pensions including requesting documents that are not on their checklist, as well as documents a disabled person wouldn't be able to source without great difficulty.

I have been trying to assist my disabled sister with her application for FOUR years - she hasn't received a cent yet even though our mother paid into the fund for many years.

The GEPF should THEMSELVES facilitate the process from start to finish
