Authorisation Letter : CP***1

I have a problem with GEPF and GEMS as my mother went on pension 2012 February working as government high school principle. I recently did my own investigations as I was concerned that my mother's medical aid was too high as a pensioner, then we were told that my mother was not subsidized by GEPF. Then we contacted GEPF who gave us instructions to submit certain forms so that they subsidies her medical aid, as they are not sure why this happened in the first place. We got an sms from GEPF 09/11/20 that every is successfully processed that all monies will be paid and an approval letter letter will follow. Nothing happened until today when I enquired on feedback since the last message we got November 09th. the letter was then sent to me then, dated 30/11/20 (TODAY), meaning this was only ONLY done today.

The email read as follows: Good day, Please find attached the approval letters (for member and scheme). You will have to forward these letters to the medical aid service provider in order for them to start sending claims to us, which enable us to pay. Trust you will find this in order.

Following which, I asked about all the other years that my mother overpaid. The response was as follows:

Good day, We will pay the backdated portion from our side. The medical aid service provider must send a claim and once we’ve paid, she can claim back from them.

So yet again. no proper communication ones again. They are now sending between medical aid and God knows who to claim, when they promised & sent an sms that all was SUCCESSFULLY done and processed on the 09/11/20. Questions is, we are dealing witha pensioner, what if this particular did not have a daughter like me to fight for her and question things like I am doing now. what then.

Who is liable to pay my mother for her monies going back? what is the process?
