Solar power with a higher electricity bill

We put the entire system in. They showed us how it works and sad after a month check your bill. Joburg bill come. We paying for more electricity than what we paid before the solar. We do not touch the system all plugs apparently connected to the solar and geyser to eskom. How does this work.

Phoned them to follow up. 2 weeks later no response.

Now we manually switch the power off from eskom in the morning and at knight switch it on again. Is this how its supposed to work. Anyone can help...though by putting solar in we will no longer have the issue of worrying about bills so high, power off and on, then again managing systems and batteries beeping because we forgot to switch it back to eskom at night.
